East swim and dive sent a small contingent of swimmers to last night's taper meet at West Chester YMCA and came away with several district consideration times. The top 40 swimmers (top 24 relays) with the district consideration time in each event will qualify for the District 1 meet in February.
The 200 medley relay of seniors Victoria Maki, Cady Kiebort, Alexa Fulton, and junior Finley Mulhern earned the district cut in the first event of the meet. Fulton and Maki added cuts in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, while Kiebort qualified in the 100 free as well. The 200 freestyle relay of Maki, Kiebort, freshman Hayley Heckler and Fulton picked up the final cut for the girl's team.
For the boys, junior Gabe Carroll lowered his 100 freestyle cut time and added the 100 breast to his list of district cuts for the season. Jack Thompson also earned a cut in the 50 freestyle.
The team heads back to West Chester YMCA tonight to face off against West Chester East HS at 7:30PM. Go EAST!
